According to FAO and AgbioInvestor statistics, Vietnam imported 200000 tons of pesticides in 2021, with an import amount of US $0.91 billion. The export volume is 47000 tons, with an export value of US $0.19 billion. The amount of local pesticides used is about 50000 tons of original drugs, and the sales volume of pesticides is 0.79 billion US dollars. The pesticide products of domestic agrochemical enterprises are exported to Southeast Asian countries such as Laos and Cambodia after passing through Vietnam or directly investing and building factories in Vietnam. China and Vietnam have a long history of cooperation in the trade of agrochemical products and are deepening day by day. Vietnam relies on imports of agricultural inputs. China is Vietnam's largest importer of pesticides and fertilizers. Imports of pesticides and fertilizers from China account for more than 50% of Vietnam's total annual use.

Exhibition Overview

the Vietnam International Chemical Exhibition has been successfully held for 18 consecutive sessions. In 2023, 375 companies from Vietnam, South Korea, China and other countries and regions participated in the exhibition, with an exhibition area of nearly 9000 square meters. The three-day exhibition attracted nearly 11000 professional visitors from 31 countries and regions, including Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, Indonesia, India, Japan and South Korea.
