During a working visit to the United States and working meetings with the Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR), the Department of Energy (DOE) and related agencies, the Vietnamese Prime Minister's Special Envoy and Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Tin attended and witnessed the signing and publication of cooperation agreements between Vietnamese and American companies, as well as contracts for the purchase of machinery and equipment, raw materials, services and goods.

      Also present at the event were Vietnamese Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the United States Nguyen Kwok Dung, a delegation from the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Vietnam Energy Industry Group (PVN) and its member companies, Vietnam Electric Power Group (EVN), Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex), Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industry Group (TKV), Ma Shan Group and leading representatives from US partners.

stressed that after the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, the 10th anniversary of the establishment of a comprehensive partnership and the second anniversary of the promotion of a comprehensive strategic partnership, Vietnam-Vietnam relations have continuously made positive and steady development in various fields. Among them, the economic-trade-investment pillar plays a key role in promoting the development of bilateral relations. In terms of trade, the bilateral trade volume will reach nearly 150 billion US dollars in 2024, an increase of 20.5 percent over the same period last year. The United States has become Vietnam's second largest trading partner and one of the most important export markets, and is gradually becoming the source of Vietnam's machinery, technology, and energy products.
      In terms of investment, the United States continues to be one of Vietnam's major investment partners. Most large American companies have branches and effective investments in Vietnam, and more and more Vietnamese companies are also beginning to invest in the US market. As of 2025, more than 100 Vietnamese companies have registered to participate in the "Choose American 2025" campaign to learn about investment and business opportunities in the United States. , Minister Nguyen Hongtian said that there is still great potential for cooperation between Vietnam and the United States, especially in the fields of science and technology, innovation, research and development; the development of chip, semiconductor, artificial intelligence, and Internet of things industries; new energy, renewable energy; finance, financial center; biotechnology, medicine, etc. Vietnam hopes that the United States will continue to create conditions to support enterprises of the two countries to expand cooperation and effective investment, especially in scientific and technological innovation projects.
      In the spirit of further promoting bilateral economic, trade and investment cooperation between Vietnam and the United States, under the witness of Minister Nguyen Hongtian, the two sides signed a number of important cooperation agreements with a total value of US $4.15 billion.
