CDP adds LANXESS to climate category "A-list"

LANXESS ranks in the top 2% of all rated companies

The CDP, a climate protection initiative, recognized LANXESS for its outstanding contribution to the fight against climate change. In this assessment, CDP awarded the specialty chemicals company the highest rating of "A" in the "Climate" category. This puts LANXESS in the top 2% of more than 24,700 companies evaluated by CDP.

The "A" rating is given to companies that report their climate protection activities and implement projects in a highly transparent and comprehensive manner. These companies must demonstrate their strategies and measures, such as setting scientifically sound targets and developing climate protection plans. LANXESS has been disclosing climate protection data to CDP since 2012.

In addition, CDP assessed LANXESS's commitment to the safe and responsible use of water resources and awarded it an "A-" rating.

"With our solutions and expertise, we are making a significant contribution to sustainable development. At the same time, we are also helping our clients to achieve their sustainability goals," said Hubert Fink, member of the board of directors of LANXESS Group. "CDP once again received the highest rating, highlighting our commitment to climate protection and showing that we are moving in the right direction."
