Chemical industry exports amounted to $2.7 billion billion

According to the Federation of Turkish Exporters (TİM), Turkish exports rose 3.2 percent in March to $23.4 billion billion. As a result, it became the second-highest export country in March. The chemical industry was the second-highest in terms of exports in March, exporting chemicals and products worth $2.7 billion. The industry's exports in three months exceeded $7.5 billion.

Adil Pelister, Chairman of the Board of the Istanbul Association of Exporters of Chemicals and Chemical Products (İKMİB), said: "In March, our chemical industry exported $2.7 billion worth of chemicals and chemical products. As a result, we managed to maintain our position as the second largest export industry in March. From January to March, our export volume exceeded 7.5 billion US dollars. In order to achieve the year-end target, we need to further increase exports."

We see how important the chemical industry is for a sustainable future and a strong economy. He said: "We will continue to produce, provide jobs and support exports through 16 sub-sectors (from plastics to paints, from cosmetics to pharmaceuticals, from rubber to organic and inorganic chemicals)."

In the group of chemical substances and products, plastics and products ranked first in chemical exports with US $0.793583 billion in March. Exports of fossil fuels and products ranked second with an export value of US $0.771125 billion, and exports of inorganic chemicals ranked third with an export value of US $0.224664 billion. After "inorganic chemicals", other industries in the top 10 include "essential oils, cosmetics and soaps", "pharmaceuticals", "rubber, rubber products", "paints, varnishes, inks and preparations", "various chemicals", "detergents" and "organic chemicals".

Romania was the top exporter in March.
The top exporter in March was Romania, with exports worth $0.234 billion. The top 10 countries in terms of exports in March were Romania, Italy, the Netherlands, Germany, Russia, the United States, Bulgaria, Iraq, the United Kingdom and Spain. Among the top 20 countries in March, the highest increase was in Lebanon, at 85.01 per cent.
